Audition to perform with Dance du Soleil Showgirls!

Auditions for 2026 Summer / Holiday Season

Dance du Soleil, is Atlanta’s Premier fustion belly dance company. We are looking for dedicated, passionate dancers to join our Showgirls performance company for the Summer/ Holiday 2026 season.

This audition is not recommended for beginners, however baby and beginner dancers should definitely check out Leyla’s Foundations (Beginner Friendly) Workshop coming up this Friday June 5th!

Commitment

  • Available during the season running July 1st – Dec 31st
  • Able to perform in 75% of scheduled shows
  • Multiple hours of class per week
  • Regular attendance in technique class
  • Must own or have the ability to purchase a professional costume 

Opportunity

  • Opportunity to perform at EOBD and one other festival per year
  • Local and driving-distance shows
  • Train alongside a dedicated company with experienced instructors
  • Further develop dance technique and stage presence

What to Expect at the Audition

6-6:45 pm: Participate in technique class

Leyla and Babette will teach a typical DDS technique class while observing dancers. This is your chance to show how you learn and move- come ready to work and have fun!

6:45 – 7 pm: Choreography

Dancers will learn a combination in the Dance du Soleil style. This is when you get to bring it to life! 

7:00 – 8:00 pm: Performances in Small Groups

During the last hour dancers will demonstrate their skills by performing the combination. Music will include a short improv section after the choreography.
